This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This Determination sets the daily payment amounts that the Australian Government pays to aged care homes as a concessional resident supplement — extra funding for looking after low-income elderly residents.
Who gets what:
Why it matters: This top-up funding helps aged care providers cover the costs of caring for residents who cannot afford to pay much themselves, with higher rates for providers that care for larger concentrations of vulnerable residents.
