75AAppointment of authorised officers

#### 75A Appointment of authorised officers (1) The Commissioner may, in writing, appoint a person who is a member of the staff of the Commission as an authorised officer for either or both of the following purposes: (a) the purposes of this Act; (b) the purposes of the rules. (2) The Commissioner must not appoint a person as an authorised officer under subsection (1) unless the Commissioner is satisfied that the person has suitable training or experience to properly perform the functions, or exercise the powers, of an authorised officer. (3) An authorised officer must, in performing the officer’s functions or exercising the officer’s powers, comply with any directions of the Commissioner. (4) If a direction is given under subsection (3) in writing, the direction is not a legislative instrument.
