#### 71 Placement of child for adoption in conformity with religious upbringing intentions 71 Placement of child for adoption in conformity with religious upbringing intentions > > (1) The relevant decision-maker is to make all reasonable efforts to place the child with an approved person whose expressed intention for the religious upbringing of that child is in accordance with any wish expressed by a parent or guardian of the child (whether in the adoption plan or when consenting to the adoption, or both). > > > (2) In the case of a child who has both a parent and a guardian, the wishes expressed by the parent are to prevail over the wishes of the guardian for the purposes of this clause and clause 72.
