#### 48 Duration of approval 48 Duration of approval > > (1) An approval has effect for 4 years (or such longer period as may be determined by the relevant decision-maker) after the applicant is advised of the approval. > > > (2) An approved applicant must notify the relevant decision-maker of any significant change in the applicant’s circumstances that might affect the approval (for example, if the applicant suffers a deterioration in health or changes his or her marital status, or if the applicant or the applicant’s spouse or de facto partner becomes pregnant) as soon as practicable after the change occurs.
