37 Guardianship of non-citizen child awaiting adoption If a non-citizen child enters or has entered the Territory from a State or another Territory or from an overseas country and the Immigration (Guardianship of Children) Act 1946 (Cth) no longer applies in relation to the non-citizen child, for so long as the Territory is the normal place of residence of the child: (a) the guardianship of the child is to be placed with the Minister; and
