#### 182 Impersonation 182 Impersonation (cf AC Act s 55, AI Act s 39) > > (1) A person who impersonates an adopted person, birth parent, adoptive parent, relative or other person having an interest in an adopted person in connection with any matter under this Act is guilty of an offence. > > > (2) Without limiting subsection (1), a person who impersonates or falsely represents himself or herself to be a person whose consent to the adoption of a child is required by this Act or by the law of another State is guilty of an offence. > > > (3) A person who impersonates a person engaged in the administration or execution of this Act is guilty of an offence. > > Maximum penalty—25 penalty units or imprisonment for 12 months, or both.
