85 Revocation or suspension of approval (1) The director-general may, by written notice served on the principal officer of a private adoption agency, revoke or suspend the approval of the agency under this part— (a) at the request of the agency; or (b) on the ground that the agency— (i) is no longer suitable to conduct negotiations and make arrangements with a view to the adoption of children or young people; or (ii) has contravened a provision of this part or the regulations. (2) For subsection (1) (b) (i), the director-general must have regard to the matters specified in section 82 (3). Private adoption agencies Part 6
