46 Effect of order on domicile
(1) On the making of an adoption order, the adopted child or young
person acquires the domicile of the adoptive parents at the date on
which the adoption order was made and after that date the child’s or
young person’s domicile must be determined as if the child or young
person had been born to the adoptive parents.
(2) The domicile acquired under subsection (1) by an adopted child or
young person must for all purposes be taken to be also the child’s or
young person’s domicile of origin.
