108 Notification to parents
The director-general must inform a birth parent of a child or young
person in writing of—
(a) the placement of the child or young person with a prospective
adopting parent; or
(b) the non-placement of a child or young person at the end of
6 months after the instrument of consent was signed; or
(c) any breakdown in placement and the return of the child or young
person to the custody of an appropriate authority; or
(d) the making of an adoption order; or
(e) if the director-general becomes aware of it—the death of the
child or young person.
