40 Consents given under law of another State or a Territory Where— (a) a person whose consent to the adoption of a child is required by section 33 has, in accordance with the law of another State or of a Territory, duly signed an instrument of consent to the adoption of the child; and (b) the consent evidenced by the instrument of consent has not been revoked in accordance with the law of that other State or Territory— that instrument of consent shall, for the purposes of this Act, be deemed to be an instrument executed in accordance with this Division evidencing a consent, in accordance with section 33(1), to the adoption of the child.
