51A Supreme Court may authorise postponement of
realisation and carrying on of business
(1) The Supreme Court may, if it considers it beneficial so to do and
subject to the conditions it considers appropriate to impose, authorise
an executor or administrator—
(a) to postpone, for the period the court considers appropriate, the
realisation of the real or personal estate of a deceased person, or
any part of that estate; or
(b) to carry on, for the period or periods that the court from time to
time considers appropriate, the business, trade or occupation of
the deceased person, and for that purpose to use the estate or part
of it.
(2) An order under this section may be made either ex parte or on the
notice the Supreme Court considers proper, and may be varied from
time to time as the court considers appropriate.
