Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of Harbin Y12 I and Y12 II aeroplanes to install a safety lock (switch guard) on the hydraulic pump switch, following Harbin Service Bulletin Y12-29-0057 (18 May 1995). The directive’s explicit purpose is to prevent inadvertent shutdown of the hydraulic pump—which would disable the aircraft braking system—and it must be done before 30 April 2003 (effective 23 January 2003).
