AD/TSA-600/29 - Wing Tank Fuel Line - Inspection - CANCELLED

What this document does

This officially scraps an old aviation safety rule that applied to Aerostar aircraft (specifically the Piper/Ted Smith 600 and 700 series models).

The cancelled rule The original directive required aircraft owners to inspect wing tank fuel lines for wear and tear caused by rubbing against the aileron push rod (the mechanism that controls the plane's roll). This check had to be done before any further flight.

Why it matters Owners and operators of these aircraft are no longer legally required to perform this specific inspection. The safety requirement is completely removed, simplifying maintenance obligations for these older aircraft models.
