| Applicability: | RB211 Trent 700 series engines identified in EASA AD 2007-0136. |

| Requirement: | Inspect the IP compressor drum as specified in EASA AD 2007-0136 Rev 1 or later revision.Note: Rolls-Royce Service Bulletins RB211-72-AF197 Rev 1 and 72-AE753 Rev 2 refer. |
| Compliance: | Periodic inspections must be performed at intervals specified in EASA AD 2007-0136 Rev 1 or later revision. |
| This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 20 August 2012. | |
| Background: | CASA has reviewed state-of-design ADs applicable to Trent 700 engines and decided EASA AD 2007-0136 Rev 1 should be explicitly mandated for applicable engines in Australian aircraft. |
