Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

CASA requires operators of aircraft fitted with RB211 Trent 700 engines to carry out periodic maintenance on HP/IP turbine bearing oil vent tubes following the procedures and intervals in EASA AD 2007-0201. This makes the EASA inspection regime mandatory for Australian operators and maintenance providers, effective 20 August 2012 (Requirement; Compliance).

Operators bear the inspection and repair costs and must follow the external AD and any referenced Rolls‑Royce service bulletin to remain compliant (Background; Requirement).
