Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

Mandatory airworthiness directive requires operators of certain Garrett TPE 331 engines lacking BAe MOD JM 7388 to inspect clearance between an oil-feed tube and the bleed-air cooler and to install a permanent modification to stop rubbing that can wear a hole, cause oil leakage, and lead to engine failure. Inspections are required within 50 flight hours after 30 June 1984 and every 400 hours until the modification is installed; the modification must be completed by 31 August 1984.
