This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of specified AlliedSignal (Garrett/AiResearch) TPE331 turbine engines to inspect and lubricate the fuel-pump drive-shaft splines in line with Garrett Service Bulletin TPE/TSE 331-72-0027 Rev. 9. It applies to a long list of engine models (an additional model was added in this amendment) and became effective 25 April 1996. Owners and maintenance organisations must follow the service bulletin’s procedures; compliance with the earlier AD/AIR-T/17E is accepted as meeting this AD’s intent.
