Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

Requires owners/operators of EADS SOCATA TBM 700 aeroplanes (serial numbers 271–328) to check for lateral play in both elevator trim tabs and, if necessary, fit a setting washer per Service Bulletin EADS SOCATA TBM 700 No 70‑135 (or later DGAC‑approved revision). The inspection must be completed at the next scheduled 100‑hour or annual inspection, whichever is earlier, effective 13 April 2006. The AD cites a non‑conforming washer that may reduce elevator trim tab bearing fatigue resistance.
