Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of TBM 700 aircraft serial numbers 1–182 to inspect the fuel tank vent hoses in accordance with Socata Alert Service Bulletin TBM 700 No 70-088-28. The inspection must be done within 5 flying hours of the AD’s effective date or by 14 February 2001.

CASA issued the AD after advice that some aircraft may have been delivered with non‑conforming vent hoses that could block tank vents and cause structural damage to the wing skin. The operator/maintenance organisation must carry out and fund the inspection.
