This AD requires owners/operators of Aerospatiale (Socata) TBM 700 aircraft serials 1–49 to have pneumatic de‑icing equipment fitted to the elevator horns, by complying with Socata Service Bulletin TBM SB 70‑20‑30 before 30 June 1993.

The modification — paid for and scheduled by operators/maintenance organisations — is mandated to reduce ice accumulation on elevator horns at low speed in icing conditions; the AD points to the SB for technical details.
