Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

What this does: This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of Aerospatiale (Socata) TBM 700 aeroplanes that have not had Modification No. 70-059-57 fitted to visually inspect the left and right flap rail fitting lugs following SOCATA Service Bulletin SB 70-058-57. Inspections must occur before flight or at scheduled maintenance and then at intervals not exceeding 300 flight hours, unless the terminating modification is embodied. It matters because it sets mandatory inspection or modification steps enforced by CASA to address flap rail fitting integrity.
