Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: This is a safety rule (called an Airworthiness Directive) for owners of specific light aircraft—the Socata TB20 and TB21 Trinidad models. It requires you to inspect the cabin door latches (catches) and replace them if they show wear, using specific replacement parts.

Why it matters: Door catches have been found cracked due to poor adjustment. If the catch fails, the cabin door could open unexpectedly during flight, creating a safety hazard.

What changed in this version: This update expands the list of approved replacement part numbers for the door catches (adding to the previous requirements without changing the core safety task).

Who is affected: Anyone operating or maintaining Model TB20 or TB21 aircraft must follow the technical inspection standards referenced from the French aviation authority (DGAC).
