Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of Aerospatiale (Socata) TB9/TB10 aircraft fitted with engine mount P/N TB 10.51.000.000 to perform the inspections/repairs in Service Bulletin SB 16/1 because the manufacturer reported cracking of engine‑mount weld clusters. The first action is due within 50 hours TIS after 17 December 1986 and must be repeated at intervals not exceeding 50 hours until the mount is modified.

The costs and downtime fall to operators, creating an incentive to carry out the modification to end recurring inspections.
