Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive orders inspection of the nose‑gear fork grain structure on specified Aerospatiale (Socata) TB9 and TB10 aeroplanes because an incorrect manufacturing process may have produced inverted material grain flow. The CASA delegate requires operators to carry out the inspection in accordance with Socata Service Bulletin TB No. 10‑138 by the next major inspection after 2 October 2003 or before 31 December 2003, whichever comes first. Aircraft owners/operators pay for and arrange the inspection; CASA (the delegate) enforces compliance under CASR.
