Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive covers Socata TB9 and TB10 (Tobago) aeroplanes fitted with an amendment D engine monitoring cluster and a 14‑volt electrical system. It requires fitting a placard by the fuel indicator warning that fuel is over‑estimated when voltage is below 13 volts and inserting specified Flight Manual amendments (or the Directive) into the manual.

Compliance (by 31 December 1999) falls to the aircraft owner/operator, who must update the aircraft placarding and procedures and adjust preflight/after‑start checks to account for possible fuel over‑reading.
