Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This directive requires operators of all Aerospatiale (Socata) TB9 and TB10 aircraft to visually check for any gap between the vertical stabiliser leading edge and the fuselage and to verify the presence of the vertical stabiliser forward junction doubler. If a gap or the doubler is missing, the aircraft must not fly until the manufacturer provides rectification. Pilots may perform the required pre‑flight check, but the maintenance release must record the AD and operators bear the cost and downtime of any corrective work.
