Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive orders owners and operators of specific Socata Tobago aircraft (models TB9 and TB10) to inspect and replace their cabin door catches.

Why it matters: The catches can crack due to poor adjustment, potentially causing the door to fail in flight.

What must be done: Aircraft mechanics must follow the technical instructions in a French aviation safety document (DGAC AD 91-143) to check the catches and remove faulty ones from service.

What's new: This update (Amendment 1) expands the list of replacement part numbers that can be used, ensuring more spare parts are available to fix the problem. This is a mandatory safety requirement under Australian aviation law.
