Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD requires owners/operators of Fairchild (Swearingen) SA226/SA227 twin‑turboprops to inspect trim‑tab actuator rods with roll‑pin terminations for secure pins and a tight rod‑to‑socket fit. Initial inspection is within 25 flight hours, with repeats every 300 hours. The checks address loose pins or sloppy fittings that could cause trim‑tab failure and possible loss of control.
