Plain English Summary

This AD requires owners/operators of Fairchild Metroliner SA226-AT (AT001–AT074) and SA226-TC (TC201–TC419) to inspect main battery cables for chafing against the bleed air duct within 100 flight hours after 30 Apr 1983 and every 500 hours thereafter, or elect a one‑time modification per Fairchild Service Bulletin 24‑020. The rule prevents cable/duct damage that could cause electrical or pressurization failures.
