Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive orders operators of SIAI Marchetti S205, 208 and 208A aeroplanes fitted with the listed main landing gear brace assemblies to inspect those braces using SIAI Marchetti Service Bulletin 205B48 F and to repair any defects per Service Instruction 205IS26A. Compliance is required at the next scheduled inspection and thereafter as set out in the Requirement Document. CASA issued the amendment after cracks were found, including in replacement braces modified under an earlier service bulletin, so operators and maintenance organisations will bear inspection and repair costs.
