Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive (AD) mandates a safety modification for specific SIAI Marchetti aircraft models.

Who it affects Owners and operators of:

SIAI Marchetti S208 model aircraft with specific serial numbers (001–003, 1-03 to 1-15 except 1-10 and 1-13, 2-16 to 2-21, 2-47 to 2-50, and 4-51)

What you must do Modify the carburettor air intake box (the housing that channels air to the engine's fuel mixing system) and the engine cowling (the protective covering over the engine) according to the manufacturer's instructions in Service Bulletin No. 205B301A.

When Before the aircraft can be issued with a Certificate of Airworthiness (the official document allowing the plane to fly).

Why it matters This ensures these specific aircraft meet current safety standards for engine air intake and cooling systems, preventing potential engine failure or performance issues.
