Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of specified Iniziative Industriali Italiane Sky Arrow 650-series aircraft (see "Applicability") to inspect and, if necessary, modify the nose-gear support bulkhead following Service Bulletin SB‑C 02/02 (see "Requirement"). It responds to reported crack initiation associated with grass-field operations and hard landings (see "Background").

Inspect within 10 hours time in service after 18 December 2002 and complete the modification by the next scheduled 100‑hour inspection or by 30 June 2003; if cracks are found, modify before further flight (see "Compliance"). Costs fall to owners/operators; CASA (the delegate) enforces compliance.
