Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of Saab SF340A (serials 004–159) and 340B (serials 160–459) aeroplanes to carry out inspections of the engine nacelle internal structure in line with the Saab Mandatory Service Bulletin specified (Requirement). CASA’s delegate issues the AD and sets the effective date; operators must complete the inspections and any corrective action by the timing in the service bulletin (Compliance). The inspections use NDT because the area is inaccessible (Background).
