Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This mandatory Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of specific SAAB SF340 aeroplanes to install a Tail De‑Icer Valve Heater Blanket per SAAB Service Bulletin SF340‑30‑015.

The heater prevents the valve freezing and blocking de‑icing fluid to the tail—avoiding tail ice accumulation that could impair aircraft control in freezing conditions.
