Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive requires operators of SAAB SF340A (s/n 004–159) and SF340B (s/n 160 onward) equipped with an operational propeller brake to inspect and maintain the propeller brake valve per SAAB Service Bulletin 340‑61‑032. Inspections must occur within 100 flight hours and repeat every 100 hours until the aircraft is modified per SB 340‑61‑033. It prevents unintended propeller rotation when the hydraulic pump is off, reducing ground and emergency safety risks.
