Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This directive makes compliance with LFV AD No 1-051 (and the related SAAB service bulletin) mandatory for SAAB 340B aircraft serials 240–299, and requires the specified work be completed and evidenced before a Certificate of Airworthiness will be issued. It affects owners/operators, manufacturers and maintainers (who bear the costs) and CASA as the certifying authority; it addresses a freezing fault that can leave stabilizer de‑ice boots stuck inflated or deflated.
