Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of specific Saab 340B aeroplanes to modify the forward toilet service door — reinforcing the door and securing the hinge pin — by following Swedish LFV AD 1‑044 Rev A and SAAB service bulletin 340‑52‑013 Rev.1. It applies only to listed serial-numbered aircraft; operators pay for and schedule the work and must comply by the Requirement Document’s revised effective date (21 March 1991). The measure responds to a reported in‑flight loss of the door.
