Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of specified SAAB SF340A (s/n 079–159) and SF340B (s/n 160–199) aircraft to replace wire FD 574-24 with a 20 AWG conductor, following LFV AD 1‑041 and SAAB‑SCANIA service instructions.

The change must be done before 1 June 1991; it matters because the larger wire restores correct circuit coordination, affecting electrical system safety, and owners bear the cost while maintenance organisations perform the work.
