Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This rule requires airlines and operators of SAAB SF340 regional turboprops to incorporate specified inspections and component life limits from SAAB maintenance guidance and service bulletin into their maintenance programs. Amendment 3 further mandates using the latest versions of those documents. It affects operators by enforcing earlier retirement/inspection of critical parts to prevent fatigue failures and preserve airworthiness and passenger safety.
