2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of SAAB SF340A and SF340B aeroplanes to remove AC generators part number 31342-001 that have not been modified to “Mod D,” using SAAB Service Bulletin SF340-24-016 for compliance. The removal must be done by 29 April 2010; the rule imposes replacement/maintenance costs and temporary aircraft downtime on operators and follows an updated Swedish AD after reported high failure rates.
