Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This directive requires operators of SAAB SF340A aircraft (serials 003–138) to carry out safety repairs from SAAB Service Bulletin 340‑21‑022 because Gamah air‑conditioning couplings can separate and let hot bleed air into the Air Cycle Machine compartment, overheating and detaching structure. Required actions must be completed at the next B‑check after 26 Jan 1989, including a recurring measure that must also be repeated whenever a Gamah coupling is removed and reinstalled.
