Plain English Summary

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of aircraft fitted with certain SICMA and FARNER cabin attendant seats to fit two protective fairings (P/N 160100-49) to each affected seat and replace the seat identification placard. The work must be done using the specified SICMA/FARNER service bulletins and completed by 17 August 1999. It affects airlines, maintenance providers and owners who must pay for and arrange the retrofit to prevent finger-trapping injuries from the seat folding mechanism.
