Commonwealth legislation
This Airworthiness Directive requires Short SD3-60 operators to have an intake anti‑icing vane annunciator light installed (and the related AFM 'P' amendment embodied) so pilots are warned if intake vanes have not deployed when other anti‑ice systems are selected. The Amendment issues a revised service bulletin that fixes wiring faults in the original bulletin and mandates rework of any installations done under the original SB. Operators and maintenance organisations must carry out and pay for the corrective work under CASA direction.

AD/SD3-60/62 Amdt 1 (continued)
The original issue of this Directive introduced a modification to the CWP, which provided a new annunciator light to alert the pilot that the intake anti- icing vanes have not been deployed, when other anti- icing systems have been selected. The Directive also ensured that the relevant AFM ‘P’ amendment is embodied.
This Amendment introduces a revised SB which corrects wiring anomalies contained in the original SB and requires reworking of installations completed in accordance with the original SB.
The original issue of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 5 September 2002.
