Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive requires owners/operators of specified Shorts SD3-60 aeroplanes (serials SH3601–SH3629, SH3631–SH3632) to modify the left oil‑cooler air intake scoop per the manufacturer’s service bulletin to address reported high engine oil temperatures in severe icing.

Operators must arrange and pay for the work, complete it by 30 November 1984, and may use approved maintenance organisations; the measure preserves safety but temporarily reduces aircraft availability and imposes direct compliance costs.
