Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of Short SD3-60 aircraft to inspect the stub wing shear decks and ribs for corrosion and to carry out repairs and drain‑hole modifications by following Shorts Mandatory Service Bulletin SD360‑53‑43 Revision 2. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (via its delegate) sets specific compliance dates and recurring inspection intervals tied to whether corrosion is found. It matters because aircraft owners/operators must finance and schedule the inspections, repairs and any recurring maintenance actions to remain airworthy.
