Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of Short SD3-60 aircraft serial numbers SH3601–SH3763 to implement the modifications or repairs specified in Short Brothers Service Bulletin SD360-33-23 (1 June 1992) to the emergency lighting system. The directive responds to the manufacturer’s advice that the system does not meet JAR/FAR 25.812(f)(3) when the aircraft is on the ground and normal generated electrical power is lost, and makes compliance mandatory for the affected Australian-registered aeroplanes.
