Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Applies to Shorts SD3-60 aircraft SN SH3601–SH3623: operators and maintenance organisations must perform the inspection in Shorts Service Bulletin SD360-55-A02 every 60 hours TIS until the permanent modification in SD360-55-02 (mod 7448) is installed. The modification must be completed by 31 March 1984.

Issued because an elevator tab disconnect could cause unacceptable vibration; the directive forces short-term recurring inspections and a mandated fix, shifting ongoing cost and scheduling burdens to operators.
