Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires owners/operators of Shorts SD3-60 aeroplanes (PT6A-65R, and serials SH3601–SH3685 with PT6A-65AR) to carry out the manufacturer’s service-bulletin actions to remedy excessive control‑column force on take‑off. Compliance with the specified Shorts service bulletins was mandatory by 30 November 1986. Affected operators bear the costs; the regulator prescribes the fix while the manufacturer’s bulletins set the technical details.
