This AD requires owners/operators of Short SD‑360 aeroplanes fitted with Barry engine mounts P/N 93880‑12 (unless already modified per Shorts SB SD 360‑71‑08) to inspect and carry out any modification in Shorts Service Bulletin SD 360‑71‑A02, Rev 1, before the next Maintenance Release after 31 Dec 1984 and at each subsequent Maintenance Release. It was issued because of reported metal‑to‑rubber bond separation in the mounts; the aircraft owner/operator must arrange and pay for inspections and any required work.
