This amendment corrects wiring anomalies in Part A of an earlier Service Bulletin so a newly fitted cockpit annunciator for the engine intake anti-icing vanes functions as intended, while preserving the prior modification that added the annunciator and required the AFM ‘P’ amendment.
It applies only to Short SD3‑30 aeroplanes with specified serial numbers and was issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (Delegate James Coyne; signed 28 Nov 2002, Gazette notice 18 Dec 2002).

AD/SD3-30/44 Amdt 1 (continued)
The original issue of this Directive introduced a modification to the CWP, which provided a new annunciator light to alert the pilot that the intake anti- icing vanes have not been deployed, when other anti- icing systems have been selected. The Directive also ensured that the relevant AFM ‘P’ amendment is embodied.
This Amendment corrects wiring anomalies contained in Part A of the original Service Bulletin. Only aeroplanes with certain serial numbers are affected by this amendment.
The original issue of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 5 September 2002.
